Love

This is for autodesk-sketchbook ’s August Hero Challenge by shilin “LOVE”

“The word "love" usually evokes pleasant imagery, but this intense emotion takes on many shapes and forms. We give selflessly out of love, hurt each other out of love, and go through our highest and lowest because of love.”

Well, I wanted to try and express a love that is a bit more… unconventional I guess?
I have no idea whether I’ll get the idea across, but I’ll try.

My love is between two things that every aspiring artist must have in one way or another.
Those are TALENT and the willingness to WORK HARD.

One doesn’t come far without the other. You will never be able to truly unlock your full potential,
without investing the time in both these things.

So I decided to depict talent, as a somewhat elusive and seemingly breakable young girl.

Because I imagine talent like a small spark that we all possess. Something precious and wonderful,
but that can wither away and die easily if it is not being treated well.

And here the hard working hero comes in play. The one who takes talent by the hand so that together they can create something wonderful. Something amazing!

And as long as they don’t let laziness or procrastination get in between them,
they have the potential for something great.

Because only through Talent and Hard Work, success can be born.

So I depicted them as a loving couple. 
With devotion for one another and unconditional self sacrifice.
With nothing but a bright future ahead, as long as they stay together.

I hope I kinda made sense.

P.s.: This was my first time working with autodesk-sketchbook. It was challenging but I really like the brush tools and it's a great creative tool overall!
